WHO IS COACH "LOK" ?

Coach Ray Lokar is the Basketball Coaching Education Coordinator for the Amateur Athletic Foundation and  the editor of Basketball.Lifetips.com. He was the Head Basketball Coach of  the 2002 California Interscholastic Federation Champions while at Bishop Amat High School .  Ray is now a Trainer and Mentor Coach with the Positive Coaching Alliance and coordinates their efforts in Southern California, concentrating on grants to underserved organizations.  As a  member of the Executive Board of the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association (SCIBCA) starting in 1991, he served a two year term as President of the Association beginnning in 2000.

Lokar also is involved with Applied Cognitive Engineering in the business development and marketing of the ACE IntelliGym(tm) . The IntelliGym(tm) is a revolutionary training tool that enables basketball players to dramatically improve their game-intelligence skills. Owning Sports'n'Stuff,  provides a home base for all of his business activities and he has access to the latest in uniforms and imprinted sportswear, with in-house customization.

Coach "LOK"  is presently  the Executive Director of The Basketball4all Foundation and has coached in the San Gabriel Valley, just east of Los Angeles, Ca for over 25 years at the youth, high school, and college levels  and has worked countless camps and clinics during that time for ages 8-18.

EXPERIENCES:

2006-present  AMATEUR ATHLETIC FOUNDATION
BASKETBALL COACHING EDUCATION COORDINATOR-Responsible for development of a basketball coaching education program, the publication of a basketball coaching manual, organization of basketball coaching clinics featuring classroom lectures, discussions and on court sessions, and present training in coaching philosophy, technique and tactics, and the management skills needed to build successful high school sports programs.

2005-present POSITIVE COACHING ALLIANCE
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA COORDINATOR-Provide training nationwide to coaches, parents, and leaders of schools and youth sports organizations on how to use the youth sports experience to teach young athletes positive character traits and "life lessons." Responsible for researching, developing, qualifying and closing partnership sales in Southern California, as well as distributing grants to underserved communities.. Key in this process is demonstrating the value of PCA Partnerships and services to prospective partners (youth sport organizations and schools), resulting in an increased PCA Partnerhip base.

2004-present APPLIED COGNITIVE ENGINEERING
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT-Responsible for the devlopment of Applied Cognitive Engineering as a business entity in the Western Region of the United States and the direct marketing of all versions of the ACE IntelliGym(tm) to basketball players and coaches in the region.

2001-present    BASKETBALL-TIPS.COM
EDITOR-develop content of over five hundred tips, promote the website, write weekly newsletter, answer reader questions, and publish a book of 101 basketball tips.
